Join Positive Energy Directors Blake Cazier (American Mountain Guides Association Top Rope Site Manager) and Stephanie Love (M.S. Experiential Education), for an unforgettable summer camp experience.  Small group size and experienced professional staff make Positive Energy's day camps stand out. 

Summer 2008 Camps

Horses and More Day Camp: June 23-27 ($250)

Spend the mornings with Tracy and Blaze, our gentle draft horses, exploring draft horse history, care and grooming, harnessing and driving.  Afternoons are for swimming, hiking, kayaking, team challenges, solar oven cooking, rock climbing and meeting our friendly sled dogs.  The week ends with a picnic/potluck for families.

Day camps have a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 participants.  Blake Cazier and Stephanie Love, your instructors, share over 30 years combined outdoor education experience. 

Program fees include transportation, equipment and instruction.  Bring a bag lunch, water bottle, sunscreen and raingear.

Kayak Camp: July 21-25 ($250)

Can't get enough of the water?  You'll love our kayak camp!  We’ll explore kayak styles, paddling strokes, wet exits and rescue skills at our private inland lake waterfront.  When you're not in the water, enjoy hiking, rock climbing, participating in team challenges or cooking in a solar oven.  You’ll also take a horse drawn wagon ride and meet our kennel of friendly Alaskan husky sled dogs.  End the week with a picnic/potluck for families.

Outdoor (ed)Ventures Day Camp: July 7-11 ($250)

Want to try a little of everything?  Our Outdoor (ed)Ventures camp is for you!  Enjoy kayaking, hiking, orienteering, rock climbing, swimming, team challenges or cooking in a solar oven.  You’ll also take a horse drawn wagon ride and meet our kennel of friendly Alaskan husky sled dogs.  Friday evening, enjoy a picnic/potluck with families!

Girls Outdoor (ed)Ventures: July 14-18 ($250)

Youth Climbing Camp I: August 4-8 ($250)

Join us for a week of climbing at a variety of beginner friendly sites in and around Duluth.  You'll learn all the skills you need to climb, including safety skills, knots, belaying and climbing techniques.  Blake Cazier (American Mountain Guides Association Top Rope Site Manager) and Stephanie Love (M.S. Experiential Education) personally lead all of Positive Energy's camps.  Let their 30+ years of professional experience help your child enjoy the excitement of climbing with confidence.  In addition to rock climbing, campers will participate in kayaking, swimming, team building challenges, driving draft horses, hiking, orienteering and other camp activities.  The session concludes with a Friday evening picnic/potluck for families!
