What to Bring for Dog Sledding
You'll want to make sure you are dressed properly to fully enjoy your dog sledding experience! The following is our list of recommended clothing items to keep you warm and happy. Our rental mukluks are also available for $5/pair.
Bring:
- Pack boots or mukluks with a removable liner
- Long underwear layer
- Fleece/wool pants or snow pants for kids
- Wind pants or shell pants
- Fleece or wool sweater
- Vest (optional)
- Parka
- Outer shell jacket
- Neck gaitor or balaclava
- Warm hat that covers your ears
- Thin liner gloves (for working with the dogs)
- Warm gloves or mittens that fit over liner gloves
- Wool socks
Try to avoid anything cotton (jeans, socks, etc.) as they don't keep you warm if you get wet.
You'll want to bring a camera in a sturdy (preferably water resistant) case!
Recommended:
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses or goggles
- Water bottle

What to Bring for Sleigh and Wagon Rides
You'll want to dress for the weather--sleigh rides can be chilly. Make sure to wear your winter boots, and bring a hat. We have blankets to keep you warm. Feel free to bring a thermos of hot cocoa for your ride as well!
What to Bring for Sea Kayaking
We provide all paddling and safety equipment, PFDs in child and adult sizes as well as wetsuits for cold water conditions. We have tandem kayaks, youth size kayaks, touring kayaks and fishing kayaks.
You'll need:
- Swim suit
- T shirt and shorts to get wet (wear under PFD)
- Sun screen
- Water bottle
- Sunglasses
- Sun hat
- Warm layers
- Wet shoes
- Change of clothes for afterwards
- Camera in waterproof case
- Snacks
