At Positive Energy Outdoor (ed)Ventures we are proud of our efforts to promote renewable energy. Our program facility (our homestead) produces all of its own power using a 3kw wind turbine and 1,200 watts of solar panels. Our buildings are made from reclaimed materials, including a cordwood construction cabin, timbers that have been gathered by Tracy and Blaze, our draft horse team, and reclaimed materials from building deconstruction efforts in Duluth. In addition, Steph enjoys cooking in our solar ovens, and sharing many a delightful baked good with program participants. We hope that when you come to Positive Energy Outdoor (ed)Ventures, you'll be inspired to take your own steps to be green!
We are excited to have received grant funding from CERTS (Clean Energy Resource Teams to help us install the solar panels and help others learn about renewable energy. Check back soon for our favorite links to renewable energy resources and teaching materials.
