Sea Kayaking: Rates and Reservations

We customize each of our sea kayak introductions and trips to best serve your goals, experience and budget. While we encourage new paddlers to experience a wet exit, it is not required for inland lake travel. Even non-swimmers enjoy the stability of our tandem kayaks, which have large cockpits and lots of leg room for taller paddlers. In addition, we are the only instructional program in the area with youth sized kayaks and equipment and kid-friendly instruction. Children as young as 5 years old have successfuly paddled a child-sized single kayak, and youger children can ride with an adult in our stable tandems. Their favorite part of the kayak experience? Flipping the boats (on purpose) and going for a swim in our private inland lake! Once you've mastered the basics, explore Lake Superior or beyond--the possibilities are limitless!

Prices are based on the number in your group--we enjoy working groups of all ages and sizes. If you have a really large group, consider a multi-element experience that could include rock climbing, a horse-drawn wagon ride, sled dog kennel tour or renewable energy activities such as solar cooking or wind energy exploration on our off the grid homestead.
