Kayak Tours and Instruction
Outdoor (ed)Ventures is proud to offer kayaking on our private inland lake waterfront and Lake Superior. Blake Cazier and Stephanie Love have over 40 years of combined outdoor education experience, teaching kayaking to thousands of people. Blake is also one of the most experienced kayak guides on Lake Superior, teaching kayaking since the 1980s. He has been a lead kayak staff instructor for two college outdoor programs, has guided trips in Alaska and has led numerous kayak trips across North and Central America. Besides sharing extensive paddling experience, Blake and Steph enjoy introducing people of all ages to kayaking, from beginning to advanced paddlers.
Our kayak tours and skills introductions range from 2 hours to a full day, and custom multi-day trips are available. There is no minimum or maximum age. Very young children can ride in the front of a tandem kayak on our private inland lake, and children as young as 5 enjoy our paddling our exclusive youth sized boats. Our fleet of 24+ kayaks includes boats for paddlers under 100 pounds, stable single and tandem kayaks as well as fishing kayaks.
We offer tours and instruction 7 days a week on both our private, inland lake and wind and weather permitting, on Lake Superior. Outdoor (ed)Ventures provide boats, paddles, PFDs, wetsuits for Lake Superior and instruction. Bring a swimsuit, towel, water bottles, sunscreen, shoes to get wet and lunch or snacks. While advanced reservations are recommended, especially for weekend and holidays, give us a call--we can often accommodate same day inquires.
