Duluth and the North Shore offer fantastic climbing opportunities for beginning to advanced climbers. Rock climbing is a great way to see the world from a new perspective, and is suitable for children and adults. Kids make great climbers, and we'll teach you the safety skills and techniques you need to be successful. No experience is required, and we provide equipment, including harnesses for kids.
Join us for "On the Rocks," every Tuesday from 6-8 pm. On Tuesday, May 29, we will meet at the Whoopie Wall for an evening of beginning climbing. No experience necessary. The cost is $30/person, which includes all equipment and instruction or $150 for six sessions. RSVP to Blake @ 428-5990 or Steph @ 391-0147 by noon if you plan to attend.
Climbing Day Camp (August 13-17)
For youth who have completed grades 2-8
Join us for a week of climbing at a variety of beginner friendly sites in and around Duluth. You'll learn all the skills you need to climb, including knots, belaying and climbing techniques. Blake Cazier (American Mountain Guides Association Top Rope Site Manager) and Stephanie Love (M.S. Experiential Education) personally lead all of Positive Energy's camps. Let their 30+ years of professional experience help your child enjoy the excitment of climbing with confidence. In addition to rock climbing, campers will participate in kayking, swimming, team building challenges, driving draft horses, hiking, orienteering and other camp activities. The session concludes with a Friday evening picnic/potluck for families and friends to celebrate!
Maximum group size is 12 and transportation is provided (only 5 spots left!)
