Voyageur Canoe Tour
Families and groups want to make memories in the outdoors but wonder if everyone (especially the kids) will have fun. Each year, Positive Energy Outdoors helps hundreds of people try new outdoor activities together through our Family Tour Series and Adventure Tours.
The 2 hour, beginner-friendly Voyageur Canoe Tour introduces your group, no matter their ability or age, to voyageur canoeing in our 26.5 foot big canoe. You’ll have a blast paddling the warm, calm water of Fredenberg Lake. Get started in 3 easy steps!
1. Choose the date and time for your Voyageur Canoe Tour and book online.
2. Read the confirmation e-mail. You'll receive directions to our private Fredenberg Lake waterfront (30 minutes from Duluth), a detailed list of what to bring and wear, and the assumption of risk form.
3. Meet Positive Energy Outdoors' staff at the lake. Enjoy beginner-friendly instruction in our stable 26.5 foot voyageur canoe. You'll start with a thorough land-based introduction to canoeing before you head out on the lake. On the water, travel to a beaver lodge and look for wildlife as you take advantage of unforgettable photo opportunities and make memories you'll talk about for years to come.
Your group will:
Learn to canoe together.
Experience nature up close.
Try something new.
Have fun without screens.
Make lifetime memories.
No previous canoeing experience is necessary. The Voyageur Canoe Tour is perfect for all ages. Non-swimmers are welcome.
